Coffee is grown at high altitudes in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and Serrania del Perija regions. Thanks to the altitude and the specific microclimate of the area, the coffee has a rich aroma and full flavour with subtle notes of chocolate and fruit.
The ASOANEI association, which brings together more than 800 families belonging to four indigenous ethnic groups - Arhuacos, Koguis, Wiwas and Kankuamos - is behind the production of this coffee. These coffee growers combine modern agricultural practices with traditional respect and care for nature, which is reflected in the exceptional quality and purity of each bean. The coffee is grown without the use of any chemical fertilizers and pesticides in accordance with the principles of organic farming.
