The coffee is processed using the black honey method, which gives it a sweet caramel taste with hints of fruit.

The family farm Finca Medina is located in Antigua, one of the oldest and most fertile coffee regions of Guatemala. Over 150 years of operation, the farm's growing and processing techniques have evolved and improved and today exemplify a perfect blend of the latest technology and traditional techniques. In addition to modernizing and streamlining their coffee processing processes, the farm's management also focuses on implementing environmentally friendly practices and promoting the health and social security of their employees, as they believe that great coffee only comes from great conditions. The farm has a laboratory where each batch of coffee is analysed to maintain the highest level of quality.
In order to preserve the highest possible diversity of flora and fauna, they have set aside 10 hectares on the farm that are not used for anything and let the plants grow freely. The trees that grow in this area provide shade for the coffee trees.
SHB - Strictly Hard Bean - refers to coffee from higher elevations. The coffee ripens more slowly and the beans are harder. EP - European Preparation means that the coffee has been sorted and stripped of defective beans.
